About Us
Staff Profile - Peter Kendall
Peter came out from England on an expedition by Land Rover in 1969 and liked the country so much that he stayed here. Prior to 1969 Peter worked for Midland Bank in the U.K., Standard Bank of South Africa in Nigeria, and then spent a year with a merchant bank in London and continued to work in the finance industry in Auckland.
A partnership of family members and friends was formed to purchase a 700-acre hill country farm on the coast at Boat Harbour Rd., Whenuakite, just north of the Silverstream Falls subdivision.
In 1989, Peter retired from his finance broking activities to work full time on the subdivision and subsequent sale of the farm in the form of "Lifestyle Blocks". The exercise proved successful and when the farm, which is now the "Silverstream Falls" subdivision, came on the market, Peter's trust bought it to subdivide into a total of 35 lots in 2002. It has taken nearly eight years and the joint efforts of several family members and others to create what you see today on the website.
Peter's experience and contacts in the finance industry have assisted quite a number of purchasers to follow their dream in owning a beautiful piece of New Zealand.
Staff Profile - Gina Easton (nee Kendall)
Having been born and raised on a beautiful seaside farm at Whenuakite on the Coromandel Peninsula, Gina is well aware of the benefits of living coastal and enjoying the incredible outdoors and the water activities that New Zealand has to offer.
Graduating with first class honours in Marketing and Environmental Management Gina went on to secure some sound experience by working in Auckland and abroad in the marketing field. Gina has travelled widely and become involved internationally with roles in Marketing with companies such as McCann Erickson. Gina has a long and successful portfolio to draw upon in her work for the family business at Silverstream Falls.
Gina is a true multi-tasker as she is greatly involved in helping the family run the prestigious Silverstream Falls while also managing her own Organics shop in Tairua, and a highly successful local gym with her husband. The mother of two young boys, Gina loves her lifestyle on the Coromandel. Living in Tairua allows her to run her own businesses, raise a family, spend time in the outdoors and meet up with friends and family all in the same day.
Staff Profile - Glen Lees
Glenn has been with the Silverstream project since it's very conception and is totally committed to making this piece of land a workable, sustainable success. Managing the day to day activities at Silverstream Falls, it is Glenn who sees that all is running smoothly. Working and living on the property for nearly a decade, it is Glen who'll get it done. You'll find him almost any day of the week out amongst the natural beauty of the property.
Glen's talents stem back from a fascinating history in many different domains. From high school he qualified as an architectural draftsman and worked in this field in Auckland for many years for the South Auckland Education Board. He then moved on to gain the hands on practical skills involved in dairy farming for ten years and has even dabbled in some sales along the way.
Also a family man, Glen has a family of five children with whom he loves to partake in some time-out, out on the waters of the Coromandel. Sailing and fishing especially keep him amused while carving quartz crystal is another passion for when back on dry land.
Staff Profile - Bruce Clark
Bruce has played an integral part in the Silverstream Falls development, contributing his expertise in accounting and finance. He comes to the project with over 35 years of experience as a chartered accountant in the City of Auckland.
Bruce's initial accounting experience was as a Partner in charge of over 100 dairy farms in the Waikato and Northland as well as working with small businesses in his City practice. He went on to become a Partner at Wilson, Clark & Partners chartered accountants in Auckland and progressed to his own private practice in 1984 where he has invested his accounting time ever since.
A long-term business relationship was established when Peter bought an old Ferguson tractor from Bruce in 1977. With Bruce’s sound knowledge of farming, Queen Street farmers, and business generally, the business partners in the first farm purchased on the Coromandel: merchant banker, physiotherapist and dental surgeon, were more than happy to employ Bruce to look after the partnership affairs and he has continued on as Peter's accountant ever since.
Bruce's other interests include stamp collecting, fishing and participating in his local church activities. He also loves gardening which is just as well as his son, Andrew and his wife, Vanesssa, bought Lot 3 in Stage 1 at Silverstream a few years ago and they rely on Bruce to ensure their plants grow and any essential road or weed maintenance is carried out.
