Mercury Bay
Mercury Bay is an area of fine beaches, excellent diving and fishing and attractive seaside villages.
Whitianga, the main town on Mercury Bay, is only 30 minutes drive from Silversteam Falls. The town is an ideal launching point from which to explore the famous Mercury Islands and is known as a big game-fishing base for tuna, mako, marlin and kingfish. It is a popular tourist destination with a lively retail centre, attractive marina and an abundance of excellent cafes and restaurants.
