The Coromandel Peninsula has some of the best beaches and coastlines of the North Island.
To the west of the region are dramatic cliffs and beautiful native Pohutukawa trees, while to the east sprawl stunning white sand beaches. A forest-clad mountain range separates east from west. With some of New Zealand's best weather conditions, this sparsely populated area offers an ideal getaway location to escape city life and enjoy boating, fishing, swimming and the great outdoors.
Coromandel weather is warm, with temperatures reaching 24°C to 31°C in the summer months and 12°C to 14°C in the middle of winter, making the Coromandel a great destination year round.
